“Siren” was a very difficult piece to make. I wanted to make a wall-mounted sculpture that fit in my nature and mythology theme. After my wedding, I had a lot of extra chicken feathers and wished to use them in a sculpture. I have wanted to explore more of a multi-media approach to my sculptures as well, so this was mostly an experiment in different glues and how far I could stretch them. It was incredibly successful, and I am eager to play with the concept further.
